About the Try Class Our Try Class is designed as a fun, beginner-friendly introduction to wheel throwing. The focus is on trying the process, learning the basics, and enjoying the experience—not on producing a technically perfect finished piece. Because this is an introductory experience class, we cannot guarantee that every participant will create a perfectly shaped, symmetrical, functional, or flawless finished piece. If your goal is to develop stronger technical skills or create more refined and consistent work, we recommend joining one of our Semester Classes. No previous pottery experience is required. A trained instructor will provide demonstrations and individual assistance throughout the session. Class Duration The class is two hours long, including: * Instruction and demonstration * Hands-on wheel-throwing practice * Individual assistance * A 15-minute cleanup and wrap-up period Please arrive on time. Late arrival may reduce your working time and cannot extend the scheduled class. What Is Included The class includes the firing and glazing of one piece per participant. Participants may choose from our available house glazes. Additional pieces made during the class may be selected for firing at $15 per piece. If you prefer to return and paint your own piece, you may do so for an additional $15 per piece. Dusty & Co. Ceramic provides all necessary clay, communal tools, equipment, and aprons. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty.
